Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) is the Ministry of Defence's cyber assurance scheme for organisations in its supply chain. Based on Defence Standard 05-138 (Def Stan 05-138), it provides assurance that the cyber security controls appropriate to a contract's Cyber Risk Profile are in place.
OmniCyber provides certification for DCC Level 0 and Level 1.
Not sure which level? It's set by the Cyber Risk Profile on your MOD contract. Ask us and we'll help you check ›
Bidding for MOD work usually means filling in cyber security due diligence for each contract. DCC is designed to replace that repetition with one certificate that buyers recognise.
31 December 2026: the MOD has asked all defence suppliers to achieve DCC Level 0 by this date. Getting certified now puts you ahead of it.
Get Your DCC Quote ›For MOD suppliers, Cyber Essentials comes first: every internet-connected device inside your DCC scope must be covered by your Cyber Essentials certificate. If your current certificate doesn't cover everything, it will need updating first.
Because we certify both Cyber Essentials and DCC, we check the two scopes line up before your assessment starts, so your certification runs smoothly.
We'll check its scope against your DCC scope and tell you if anything needs to change.
We'll certify Cyber Essentials and DCC together, scoped to fit from the start.
Our team has extensive experience across the defence sector, including work on the Trident programme.
Four clear steps from first call to certificate.
We confirm the DCC level you need, agree your scope and give you a quote.
We check your Cyber Essentials covers your DCC scope, or certify you if you don't have it yet.
You submit answers and evidence against the DCC controls for your level, and we verify them.
Your DCC certificate lasts three years, with an annual attestation in between.
